Redskins 2013 Fan Appreciation Day in Richmond, VA

On this special episode of his TV show "Burgundy & Gold Magazine," Redskins historian Mike Richman captures the sights and sounds of Fan Appreciation Day (Aug. 3, 2013) at the Redskins' new training facility in Richmond, Va.  Mike interviewed many fans among the 25,000 that flocked to the Bon Secours Training Center, getting their view on the move to Richmond after the 10 years of training camp at the Redskins' base in Ashburn, Va.; the rehabilitation of Robert Griffin III; and predictions for the 2013 season.  He also interviewed RGIII's parents, Robert Griffin II and Jackie Griffin, wide receiver Pierre Garcon and defensive lineman Barry Cofield.  Garcon, for instance, spoke about the Redskins' hunger to advance further in the playoffs after being knocked out in the first round the previous season.  A recording artist -- DJ Melto T -- also appeared on the show.  To end the wild day, Mike got a taste of southern hospitality with a Redskins theme by visiting Gus' Bar and Grill, which serves the RGIII sub.  Mike interviewed the restaurant's owner as well as Washington Capitals legend Rod Langway, who played in D.C. during the Redskins' glory era of the 1980s and early 90s.  Langway spoke about The Hogs and John Riggins.  Check it out!
