On Sept. 27, 2008, Mike Richman spoke at a special White House ceremony that preceded the annual National Book Festival, which featured 70 authors who signed their books and gave presentations. At the ceremony, he discussed his background as a Redskins historian and his research and writing of The Redskins Encyclopedia. He also predicted that the Redskins would beat the Cowboys, 30-24, in their game in Dallas the following day, Final score: 26-24 Redskins.
